After secretly coveting a life as a performer for 18 years and unsuccessfully attempting to be a 5'8" professional athlete, Ben auditioned for his high school's musical, "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," during his last semester. After playing J. Pierrepont Finch, he feverishly devoured the performing arts. He went on to perform in rock bands, improv, sketch comedy shows, films, regional theatre productions, and collegiate theatre where he decided he would pursue acting under the mentorship of Walton Jones (Writer/Director of Broadway's "1940's Radio Hour"). Ben was awarded the David Lord Award for Distinguished Contribution to the Performing Arts for his collegiate tenure. 

 

Ben co-founded the video production company Letterpress Films alongside Jayme Cole. Their filmography includes the 2022 short thriller "Clink. Shoot.", which enjoyed a nice festival run, and their 2024 landmark work "Ben & Gary: Streaming", a half-hour comedy special which marked their first large-scale production. "Streaming" received universal acclaim and won Best Comedy and numerous other awards at film festivals around the globe including the Toronto Film Magazine's Art Film Spirit Awards, the Touchstone Independent Film Festival, the Absurd Film Festival, and the Oniros Film Festival. In the special, Ben plays over a dozen characters including a fictionalized version of himself, a nosy janitor, Maverick in "Top Gun", and George from "Seinfeld."​

On screen, Ben is known for his original sketch comedy, roles in the feature films "Army & Coop" and "Rook," and regional commercials for Little Caesars, Manscaped, AAA, and Verizon, amongst others. On stage, Ben is best known for his work in "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare Abridged," Mr. Wormwood in "Matilda," and the Cowardly Lion in "The Wizard of Oz" (the latter two roles earned him Colorado Theatre Guild Henry Award Nominations).
